A short post of warning for those considering using Vonage, the broadband internet based phone service. I used Vonage for my virtual office phone line. Now that I’ve quit that job, I didn’t need it anymore, so it came time to quit.
First of all, let me say that, as a Vonage customer for a year, I can report that the service worked as advertised. It hardly ever dropped a call, worked with my existing phone, had all inclusive features like long distance and caller ID, had easy to access features on the web, and most of all, was cheap – $24.99 for everything including long distance. Companies like Qwest can’t touch that price. That’s the good news.
